Flesh, Blood and Mortality

Imagine being in a world full of humans,
And no one spoke to one another.
You wouldn't have someone call you daughter and son,
Neither would you shout out to your brother!

Like what the rays are to the sun,
The branches are to a tree.
The calmness to the moonlight,
Is just like the river is to the sea.

Have you ever wondered
Of those who are deemed alone?
When asking the shopkeeper for food,
Demeaningly the door is shown.

Blood is thicker than water,
Why should it be, I ask.
We're all connected and related as mortals,
Having a cordial relationship with all, is such a difficult task?

Be that someone who laughs with others and not at one.
Be the sunshine to someone, gift them smiles and fun.
Be a shelter to someone, during a storm or rain,
Being in a relationship of mortality, helps wash away other's pain.
